Second man charged in robbery of Aurora convenience store

A second Aurora man has been charged in the Feb. 12 armed robbery of a convenience store in the city.

Darius Totton, 22, of the 600 block of Serendipity Drive, has been charged with armed robbery, aggravated robbery and aggravated battery.

Police said Totton and another man, D'Angelo Williams, 20, entered the store on the 2000 block of S. Eola Road about 11:30 p.m. and threatened the clerk with a gun. The men are accused of beating the clerk and stealing money and cigarettes.

As they were running out of the store, the men used the same gun to threaten a customer who was entering, authorities said. The customer also was beaten.

Williams, of the 700 block of Liberty Street, was charged in the robbery on March 4.
