Cook County announces Northwest suburban road projects

The Cook County Department of Transportation and Highways has announced its Northwest suburban road and bridge projects for the 2016 construction season, which includes work in Buffalo Grove, Wheeling and Mount Prospect.

Crews will repair the Lake-Cook Road bridge over Buffalo Creek in Buffalo Grove and the one over the Wisconsin Central Railroad in Wheeling. Work will include the removal and replacement of existing strip seal expansion joints, the structural repair of concrete and deck slab repair.

Another project involves pavement preservation and rehabilitation on Busse Road from Golf Road to Lonnquist Boulevard in Mount Prospect.
