Chicago Blackhawks agree to terms with Swedish prospect Forsling
After acquiring him in a deal with Vancouver last January, the Blackhawks have agreed to terms with 19-year-old defenseman Gustav Forsling, team officials announced Wednesday.
Forsling, who has been playing in the Swedish Hockey League, agreed to a three-year contract, according to team officials.
The 6-foot, 181-pound defenseman collected 21 points (6G, 15A) in 48 games with the SHL's Linköping HC.
A native of Linköping, Sweden, Forsling was acquired by Blackhawks from the Vancouver Canucks in exchange for defenseman Adam Clendening.
