On May 12th at Five Seasons Northbrook: 'Overcoming Your Toughest Opponent - Your Inner Critic'

World-class skill, an off-the-charts work ethic-and more than a little anxiety and self-doubt. All of those traits are shared by athletes, executives and entertainers at the top of their game.

It's not a matter of whether any given individual has self-doubt-it's how much, and how to best navigate the day-to-day issues that arise from it.

So says career and performance coach Holly Katz who on Thursday, May 12th brings a free interactive workshop to Five Seasons Family Sports Club in Northbrook.

Dubbed "Overcoming Your Toughest Opponent-Your Inner Critic," the 45-minute session begins at 7 p.m. at the club, 1300 Techny Road.

With principles that are equally applicable in the arenas of business, sports, and all of life, Katz will provide tools to boost confidence and calm, overcome anxiety and self-doubt, strengthen relationships, enhance resilience, and restore well-being.

An expert in sports psychology, Katz holds an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management and is a Licensed Professional Counselor and HeartMath provider.

Before launching her coaching practice in 2015, Holly served as a "go-to" career executive coaching partner at JP Morgan Chase and was vice president of human resources at Monster.com.

Over the past 20 years, Katz has helped hundreds of clients move with ease through significant performance, business and academic pressure. A former nationally ranked tennis player as a junior and number 1 singles player at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, she understands from personal experience the toll that anxiety and self-doubt can inflict on someone's potential.

No registration is required to attend the session and refreshments will be provided.
