Softball: Aurora Central's Brown Ks 17 vs. Addison Trail
Danielle Brown fired a 2-hitter with 17 strikeouts and no walks Friday as the Aurora Central Catholic softball team defeated Addison Trail 12-2 in a nonconference game in Addison.
Tressa Cwinski was 4-for-5 with 2 doubles and 2 RBI while Jessica Kling added 3 hits and 2 RBI to lead the offense for the Chargers (12-10). Sharika Been added 2 hits and Casey Feltes had 2 RBI.
Rosary 6, IC Catholic 4: Aubrey Fisher had a double, triple and RBI while Xandria Olsen and Kaleigh Lentz had 2 hits and an RBI each to lead the Royals (9-9) to a nonconference win. Sarah Willman also drove in 2 runs and Emma Molenhouse was the winning pitcher.
Plainfield South 4, Batavia 3: Rachael Lovestrand had 3 hits with a double and 2 RBI, Alyssa Klemm had 2 hits with a double and an RBI and Jena Bendorsitas added 2 hits for Batavia (12-10) in this nonconference loss. Jaelen Lisberg suffered the loss in the circle.
Sterling 6, Kaneland 1: Courtney Davis' double was 1 of only 4 hits for Kaneland (14-11, 5-5) in this NI Big XII crossover. Kaneland committed 4 errors behind Davis, who absorbed the loss despite allowing just 4 hits.
Walther Lutheran 16, Aurora Christian 15: Tori Camarano (3 RBI) and Ayonna Brown (RBI) each had 2 hits with triples for Aurora Christian (3-14) in this nonconference loss. Janae Holloway added 2 hits and 2 RBI for the Eagles while Raeann Holloway had 2 hits and an RBI and Madelyn Liptak 2 RBI.
