Boys volleyball: Lake Zurich handles Antioch

Alex Krasowski slammed 7 kills, Jeff Carmody dished out 28 assists, and Lake Zurich's boys volleyball team defeated Antioch 25-13, 25-14 in North Suburban Conference action on Wednesday night.

Lake Zurich (16-4, 7-1) received 4 kills apiece from Nate Amos, Karl Gerlach, Andrew Gilbertson and Jake Gorey.

Vernon Hills d. North Chicago: Jake Fiarito lofted 22 assists on 30-of-30 setting and served 4 aces, as the Cougars won 25-12, 25-8 in North Suburban play.

Johnny McDonald had a team-best 4 kills for Vernon Hills (13-8, 7-1). The Cougars got 3 kills apiece from Jake Adkisson, Jared Bennett, Derrick Jones, Matt Kushnir, Chris Winter and Drake DeBoer.

Stevenson d. Zion-Benton: Grant Maleski's 13 kills led the Patriots to a 25-21, 27-25 win in North Suburban action.

Justin Leonard and Matt Cliffer added 8 and 7 kills, respectively, for Stevenson (11-13). Jeffrey Wang had 32 assists.

Lakes d. Mundelein: The Eagles won the North Suburban match 25-13, 25-18.

Mundelein (5-20, 1-6) got 4 kills from Abram Nazario.
