ifly Indoor Skydiving offers freefall conditions in vertical wind tunnel

An interview with Margaret Westlove, director of sales & marketing at iFLY Indoor Skydiving in Naperville:

Q: Tell us about iFLY, and how do you describe the indoor flying experience?

A: Indoor sky diving is the simulation of true free fall conditions in a vertical wind tunnel. It's where the dream of flight becomes a reality. When you come to iFLY get ready to be blown away - literally. It's thrilling. It's amazing. Experience the feeling of free fall as you float on a smooth cushion of air. There's no parachute, no jumping, and nothing attaching you to planet Earth. It's just you flying in the air. Super fun, super safe and super cool.

Q: How do you cater to the corporate customer?

A: iFLY provides our corporate guests with a unique experience to meet their individual corporate need whether it is a sales meeting, team building, entertaining clients, board meeting or simply a day to escape the office. iFLY can accommodate up to 200 guests. Our events are safe, challenging, thrilling, and suitable for almost everyone, regardless of gender, age or physical condition.

Q: Are there plans for other locations in the area?

A: We recently opened our third Chicagoland location in Lincoln Park. We also have a location in Rosemont. To date, iFLY has 50 locations worldwide, with plans to open more.

Q: What is one unusual fact about the business that most may not know?

A: Flying in the wind tunnel is a sport, "Body Flight," and anyone of any ability can fly. We fly guests that are physically, cognitively and sensory challenged.
