Grain higher, livestock mixed
CHICAGO (AP) - Grain futures were lower Thursday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.
Wheat for May delivery was 10.50 cents lower at $4.9340 a bushel; May corn was 4.50 cents lower at $3.90 bushel; May oats was 3.50 cents lower at $2.0320 a bushel; while May soybeans lost .50 cent to $10.1020 a bushel.
Beef mixed and pork prices were lower on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
April live cattle was .30 cent higher at $1.2660 a pound; April feeder cattle was .30 cent higher at $1.4970 a pound; May lean hogs lost 65 cent to $.7658 a pound.
