Island Lake board to discuss fireworks Thursday

The Island Lake village board will meet Thursday to discuss a $20,000 contract for Lakefest fireworks, boating regulations and other issues. The cost of fireworks shows has been an issue for the village in past years, with fundraising needed to cover the expense. The meeting is set for 7:30 p.m. at village hall, 3720 Greenleaf Ave.
