Volunteers needed for Clearbrook's Jelly Belly Days

On Friday, May 20, and Saturday, May 21, more than 1,000 volunteers will come together to collect donations at storefronts and intersections throughout the Northwest suburbs.

All donors receive a packet of Jelly Belly jelly beans and all donations benefit the 7,000 children and adults with autism, cerebral palsy, down syndrome, and other intellectual/developmental disabilities served by Clearbrook.

Clearbrook provides innovative services and support to individuals with disabilities through a variety of day, residential, and employment programs, as well as different forms of therapies.

Jelly Belly Days, as one of Clearbrook's largest fundraisers, plays an important role in making these opportunities available to Clearbrook clients. The more people who participate, the more money generated for our programs and services.

Volunteers - including individuals, families, companies, schools, and other organizations - are asked to serve two-hours shifts at the location of their choice between 6:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Friday and 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Saturday.

If unable to tag, volunteers may collect donations at their place of work, post fliers about the event at their place of work, or make a donation to Jelly Belly Days.

For more information and to pick your shift online, visit www.clearbrookjellydays.org or contact Hillary Mittelman at hmittelman@clearbrook.org or (847) 385-5009.
