The St. Viator boys volleyball team picked up a nonconference win on Wednesday night by defeating Elk Grove 23-25, 25-19, 25-22,

Top attackers for the Grenadiers were Kevin Braceros (11 kills), Connor Emmerich (11), Shivam Patel (9) and Brendon Rathman (6).

Setter Ed Gonzalez handed out 37 assists while Anthony Prochenski paced the winners with 20 digs, followed by Braceros (14) and Rathman (14).

Rathman and Michael Miceli each served 2 aces for EG.

Leyden d. Maine West: Host Leyden (2-1) won the nonconference match 25-15, 25-16.
