Palatine Library Program-Mexican Folkloric Dance Company at Cutting Hall, April 17
Palatine Library is pleased to announce a performance by the award-winning Mexican Folkloric Dance Company of Chicago at Cutting Hall, located at 150 E. Wood Street in Palatine, on Sunday, April 17 from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. This festive and energetic show features amazingly talented dancers wearing traditional colorful costumes. Tickets are available for no charge at the Main Library.
The Mexican Folkloric Dance Company of Chicago, was founded in 1982 by José Luis and Matie Ovalle, and is Chicago's oldest Mexican dance institution. The Dance Company has performed for three presidents, represented Mexico in the 1994 USA World Cup opening ceremony, and performed in the 2009 Latin Grammy Awards.
