Carmel d. Grant: The Corsairs won 25-17, 25-21 for their second win in as many nights.

Mike May had 7 kills, 8 assists and 1 ace for Carmel (2-0). Jimmy Ivers slammed 4 kills, Jack Herron delivered 10 assists, 1 ace and 4 kills, and Spencer Mueller contributed 2 blocks and 2 kills.

Waukegan d. Antioch: The Sequoits fell 25-22, 25-22 in nonconference action.

Ian Flately had 2 kills, 1 block, 6 digs and 8 service points for Antioch. Nathan Cielek dished out 5 assists and put down 4 kills, and Bryan Ortiz had 3 kills and 5 digs for the Sequoits.
