Softball: Rolling Meadows improves to 3-0 in Florida
After two wins in Illinois, the Rolling Meadows softball team found the same results in Florida on Tuesday.
The Mustangs belted 12 hits in a 17-0, five-inning victory over Urbana High School (Il) in Orlando.
Junior ace Lydia Schultz struck out three while improving to 3-0, the same record as the Mustangs.
Leading the offense were Mallory King (2-for-4, double, RBI), Megan Slowik (double), Paige Connor (double, 3 RBI), Elizabeth Elkins (3-for-5, 2 RBI), Megan King (1-for-3, 2 RBI) and Schultz (2-for-3, double, double, 3 RBI).
Glenbrook North 13, Buffalo Grove 0 (5 inn.): Freshman Bailey Williams had 2 hits while senior Emily Carnes, junior Alyssa Dephillips and junior Grace Gran each had one for the visiting Bison (2-1).
