GLMV Spring Luncheon to feature celebrity chef

Local Celebrity Chef Gale Gand will be the featured speaker at the Green Oaks, Libertyville, Mundelein, Vernon Hills Chamber of Commerce Spring Power Networking Lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, at White Deer Run Golf Club, 250 W. Greggs Landing, Vernon Hills.

Gand is a pastry chef and partner in the Michelin one star restaurant Tru in Chicago, host of the Food Network's "Sweet Dreams," author of eight cookbooks, James Beard Award winner, and inductee to the Chicago Chefs Hall of Fame. She is also mother of three. Copies of her cookbook book will be available.

The luncheon is open to all business professionals, community members and, of course, aspiring chefs.

Admission is $25 for chamber members, $30 for nonmembers, and includes registration/networking, the program, a luncheon, and dessert provided by Chick-fil-A, Vernon Hills, all in a country club setting.
