Rookie Bjorkstrand leads Blue Jackets past Devils 6-3
COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Rookie Oliver Bjorkstrand got his first two NHL goals in the third period and the Columbus Blue Jackets beat the New Jersey Devils 6-3 on Saturday night.
Columbus also got a goal and an assist from Boone Jenner and two assists each for Alexander Wennberg and Matt Calvert. Sergei Bobrovsky made 27 saves.
Kyle Palmieri had two goals and an assist for the Devils, who have lost two straight.
The Blue Jackets are 4-0-0 against New Jersey this season and are 5-0-1 in the past six against them. The teams play again Sunday at the Prudential Center.
Columbus scored the first three and the last three goals.
