Loop the Lakes 5K run/walk
The 16th annual Loop the Lakes 5K run/walk will be at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 23, at the Century Park boat dock shelter, north of Route 60 on Lakeview Parkway in Vernon Hills. The $25 registration fee includes a race shirt (if registered by April 1), post-race refreshments and awards for the top three race finishers in each age category. Awards will also be given to the overall male and female first place race finishers. Check-in is 7:30 to 8:45 a.m. at the boat dock shelter where race packets will be distributed. Include T-shirt size when using the spring/summer registration form at http://www.vhparkdistrict.org/ to enroll. Registrations are also accepted at www.active.com. Proceeds support the Park District Family Scholarship Program.
