Northbrook Library celebrates National Poetry Month

April is National Poetry Month, and the Northbrook Public Library is celebrating with programs for kids and adults alike!

Interactive Poetry

Children are invited to touch, peek, play, laugh, and be surprised by interactive poetry installations.

Prairie Poetry: Four Essential Illinois Poets

Storyteller William Pack shares life stories and selected works of significant Illinois poets Vachel Lindsay, Edgar Lee Masters, Carl Sandberg, and Gwendolyn Brooks.

Poetry Party (Grades 3-5)

Celebrate National Poetry Month with an afternoon of writing, creating, and charing poetry. We'll explore haikus, sonnets, and more. Registration is required; please visit www.northbrook.info or call the Library to register.

Poetry Contest & Juried Reading
