GOP voters: Whole world is watching

This campaign season has presented a very strange situation. I've been involved in the political process for most of my life. Never have I seen anything to compare with this crazy election year.

First of all, there were 17 candidates running for president from the Republican party. That number has now been whittled down to 4 and of those remaining 4 there are the most radical candidates I've ever seen still in the race. This campaign has taken on all the characteristics of a cage fight. The name calling, the childish antics of the candidates is frankly, not presidential, and is a real disgrace to our position in the world. I truly shudder to think that any one of the 4 remaining Republican candidates would ever get close to talking to foreign leaders, or having their finger anywhere near the button to blow us all to kingdom come.

If you're a Republican and are planning on voting in this upcoming primary election, I have some advice, vote like your future depends upon it. Try to avoid voting for bullies or extremists. Try to avoid voting for those who have presented no plans for what they would do if elected president. Forget about the showmanship and vote for quality. I know, you may not find that candidate on your ballot. The major thing to do at this point is to not encourage the childish schoolyard antics to continue. We are supposed to be a world leader and other countries have for a long time looked to us as an example for democracy. The whole world is watching and what are they seeing today from these candidates?
