Zipp understands, cares about Chain
Lake County District 5 is the home to exactly one state-chartered agency, that being the Fox Waterway Agency. I have been honored to serve the voters as one of the elected Fox Waterway Agency directors, and I am the only director who actually lives in District 5.
In these trying economic times, the FWA has found itself sailing into troubled waters. The FWA is not a taxing agency; our mission is primarily usage-sticker supported. The FWA is the primary agency that has jurisdiction over and is responsible for sediment removal on the Chain O' Lakes. Without our tiny agency, the Chain O' Lakes would quickly fill up with silt and become non-navigable by boat.
This would have a devastating impact on the entire Lake County District 5 economy.
Of all of the candidates for Lake County District 5, only David Zipp stands apart as a vocal and true supporter of the Fox Waterway Agency and our necessary mission. The Chain O' Lakes contributes tens of millions in revenue annually to Lake County.
In recent years, the Lake County Board has begun to look at FWA as a revenue stream. Only David Zipp has the knowledge, drive, integrity, and passion to fight for the Chain O' Lakes, for the FWA, and the boaters in Lake County.
I am not impressed with Judy Martini or her undisputed 16 year tenure on the Lake County Board, where she presided over unprecedented growth in Lake County government, excessive property tax increases at a time when the taxpayers could least absorb such a blow.
David Zipp is a former US Marine, has regulatory and investigative experience and is an excellent local attorney. We need him to represent District 5 as he will speak for all of us in the District 5, not just the anointed chosen few with the establishment connections.
