Need a doctor in coroner's office
While there is an unwritten code that elected officials should endorse incumbents of the same political party, my conscience and experience on the Kane County Board requires me to encourage friends, family and neighbors to consider a new look for the office of coroner.
When Dr. Bob Tiballi announced his intentions to run for this office, I found that I was not the only one on the county board who believed the current situation within the coroner's office was unacceptable. In an unprecedented bi-partisan show of solidarity, I found myself surrounded by a third of the dounty board standing in support of Dr. Bob and his vision for the office.
We all believe that Kane County deserves better than what we have had leading that office over the last decade. We need a man with not only integrity but intricate knowledge of medical practices. Lake, DuPage and McHenry counties all have doctors serving as their Coroner, why would Kane County deserve anything less? Our residents deserve Dr. Bob Tiballi.
Aside from his superior credentials in forensic pathology and infectious diseases, Dr. Bob has the experience of running a successful medical practice with a staff and budget seven times larger than that of the coroner's office. He is the doctor that other doctors call in when they are stumped. My family has experienced this first hand. In 2002 I first met Dr. Bob when his company was brought in by the hospital to help save my dying mother. Dr. Bob diagnosed her illness when others couldn't, and gave my family precious time with my mother that we otherwise would not have had. He prayed with my family and shared in our tears. He is a wonderful man who has our full support and eternal gratitude.
