We already are overtaxed

To all the people who believe a simple small tax increase will allow the state to solve their problem of the week or rebuild the crumbling infrastructure, I say there is nothing stopping you from paying more taxes than required by your 1040.

If you believe we are an under-taxed society, pay more. They will not, however, because what they really want is someone else to pay the increased taxes.

If 10 extra cents for a gallon of gas is really no big deal, you can have my vote for it once whoever proposes the tax increase agrees to pay my increased tax amount. It should not be a problem, it is only 10 cents a gallon. Until then, I will continue to stress that we are already overtaxed in this day and age.
