Families find lots of fun at kids expo in Schaumburg

Children ran from booth to booth trying on costumes, playing with toys, interacting with dinosaurs and princesses, and tumbling in inflatable bouncers on Sunday during the 2016 Chicagoland Kids Expo at the Schaumburg Convention Center.

"It's about anything you can think of under one roof for kids," said promoter Caroline O'Connell. "You can check out camping for the kids for the summer, check out schools, and you can check out where to have your kid's next birthday party. Everybody is having a lot of fun and they are very happy with the show."

The largest and longest-running children's expo in the area featured more than 100 vendors. About 5,000 visitors were to attend over the weekend.

"I think it's great," said Sue Kizman of Schaumburg as she watched her grandchildren, Ella and Evan, dressed in bubble suits to play soccer. "It looks like all the kids are having a great time. This bubble soccer is adorable."
