This county candidate rises to the top

The Republican primary race for DuPage County Board District 4 has generated quite a few robo-calls, mailers, and knocks on our front door these past few weeks.

Once you take a few moments to look beyond the door knockers spin and review the info cards left behind it becomes evidently clear that Michelle Moore rises to the top. Moore will jump in ready to serve and bring with it her conservative fiscal management push. She will work closely with Board Chariman Dan Cronin to drive the ACT (Accountability, Consolidation, and Transparency) initiative forward across all aspects of DuPage County's government. Moore's service as a criminal prosecutor has given her tremendous insight into the local communities she will serve … and especially for Lombard where she has built a strong rapport with the village, the police, and its residents.

Her opponent, Tim Elliott, is deeply entwined in the long running College of DuPage mess as that board's attorney of record. Seeing where that fiscal and leadership fiasco has gone over the past year I hate to see anyone even remotely associated with that to even come close to the DuPage County Board.
