A candidate worthy of our trust

William Buckley advocated supporting the most conservative candidate who can win. My own spin on this "rule" is to support the most conservative candidate who can win and is most worthy of the public's trust.

Three candidates in the 66th State Representative race espouse conservative values. All four of the candidates hold local elected office. However, Dan Wilbrandt is the only one also working a full-time job dedicated to serving the public.

Dan Wilbrandt is currently working as a prosecutor in McHenry County where he is works to secure justice for McHenry County residents and victims of crime. The residents of McHenry County have been trusting Dan Wilbrandt for many years. He has not let us down.

Illinois is in financial ruins because of politicians, Republican and Democrat, who have promised one thing on the campaign trail and did something else in Springfield. If we ever hope to fix the dismal situation in our state, we must support candidates who are worthy of our trust.

Dan Wilbrandt has earned the trust of the residents of West Dundee where he serves as Village Trustee. Dan Wilbrandt has earned the trust of McHenry County residents as an Assistant State's Attorney. Now, he deserves our trust to serve us as the next State Representative for the 66th District.
