Jaguars 'don't expect much to come of' Fowler investigation

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Jacksonville Jaguars general manager Dave Caldwell says he doesn't "expect much" to come of the NFL's investigation into defensive end Dante Fowler.

The league said earlier this week that video of Fowler apparently refereeing a fight between his girlfriend and the mother of his child includes "disturbing images." The league said it will review the matter.

Caldwell said Thursday at the NFL combine that he knows the league's looking into it, but "from the information that we have, I don't expect much to come of it. We stand by our statement we released that there's no place for violence in the NFL or in society."

Caldwell added that Fowler's "been doing the right things, and I think he's going to continue to do the right things."

The surveillance tape released by TMZ shows Fowler and the two women standing outside an elevator and talking. Fowler appears to offer a hand gesture for them to start fighting and then steps back. One of the women kicks off her flip flops before they exchange punches. Fowler eventually pulls them apart.
