The National Education Association has chosen March 2 - Dr. Seuss' birthday - to be Read Across America Day.

During the week, Town and Country Public Library, 320 E. North St. in Elburn, will offer ways to celebrate reading and encourage children to read.

Steve Lundquist, the "Master Facilitator of Fun," will perform at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 29. With his Cat in the Hat puppet, Mr. Steve will sing songs, perform silly magic, and give away some special treats.
