Ravens TE Nick Boyle suspended 10 games for PEDs

NEW YORK (AP) - The NFL has suspended Baltimore Ravens tight end Nick Boyle for 10 games for violating the league's policy on performance enhancers.

Boyle will miss the first 10 games of the 2016 season, but he can participate in all offseason workouts, preseason practices and games until then.

A fifth-round draft pick in 2015 from Delaware, Boyle previously was banned for the final four games last season under the PEDs policy.

A backup in Baltimore who mostly was a blocker, Boyle had 18 catches for 153 yards with no touchdowns, but one 2-point conversion. He apologized on his Twitter account, saying: "I am truly sorry for the disappointment I have caused by a poor choice I made. I am ready to move forward and I appreciate all the support."
