West Chicago cops help Special Olympics

A team from West Chicago Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 85 will participate in the 2016 Polar Plunge to raise money for Special Olympics on March 6 at Loon Lake in Silver Springs State Park in Yorkville.

Team members hope to raise a record $5,000 before the Plunge and Chief Mike Uplegger has promised to jump into the frigid waters with them if they reach their goal. The team is captained by Detective Robbi Peterson.

Anyone wishing to make a donation on behalf of the West Chicago FOP Lodge 85 can do so by going online or mailing or dropping off a donation at the West Chicago Police Department, c/o Special Olympics IL, 325 Spencer St., West Chicago, IL 60185.
