One killed, one injured in Bolingbrook shooting
One man was killed and another injured Saturday night after a dispute at a Bolingbrook home resulted in gunfire, police said.
At 7:12 p.m., Bolingbrook police responded to the 100 block of Cypress Drive to find a man with an apparent gunshot wound outside the house, Sgt. Anthony Columbus said in a news release. He was pronounced dead at the scene, and his identity is being withheld until his family is notified.
A second victim, also unidentified, was found inside the house suffering from a gunshot wound, Columbus said. He was in critical condition and was taken to a hospital, police said.
Columbus said the shots were fired after a dispute broke out at the house, where a large group of friends were gathering after attending a funeral in Summit.
Anyone with information is asked to call Bolingbrook detectives at (630) 226-8620 or Crime Stoppers at (630) 378-4772.
