AOIIs meet in Crystal Lake Feb. 17 for fun event

The Chicago Northwest Suburban Chapter of Alpha Omicron Pi will celebrate Valentine's Day a little late this year on the third Wednesday, Feb. 17, instead of the second one. They will gather at 7:30 p.m. at the home of Christi Humm, 3608 Smoke Tree Lane in Crystal Lake. Assisting will be Laurie Summers of Schaumburg and Cindy Cubberley of Hoffman Estates.

The group will enjoy a game and a talk about the Alpha Omicron Pi Foundation. The speaker is Linda Grandolfo, who is secretary of the foundation's board of directors.

Many members will bring donations of interesting items to be auctioned at the annual fundraiser March 13 in South Barrington. It's always fun to see what people bring! Also, members will be giving books and magazines to Diane Pellettiere whose friend, Ruth Davies, has been visiting, writing to, praying with prisoners in and outside of Illinois for about 25 years. She also sends them reading material.

AOII's Chicago Northwest Suburban Chapter is turning 60, having been chartered on March 24, 1956. If you have any questions about this meeting or AOII, call Diane Pellettiere of Palatine at (847) 934-4161.
