Chicago White Sox hire Willie Harris in minor leagues
CHICAGO (AP) - The Chicago White Sox have hired 2005 championship team member Willie Harris as a minor league hitting coach.
Harris will work with rookie league member Great Falls, one of several player development assignments revealed by the organization on Tuesday.
Harris is not the only member of the 2005 team appointed to a minor league coaching position this offseason. Aaron Rowand was hired as the organization's minor-league outfield and baserunning instructor in November.
Five managers return to the organization with four leading different clubs. The White Sox also retained Nick Capra as director of player development and Kirk Champion as the organization's field coordinator.
