Vernon Hills hosts annual Winter Fest at Century Park

There was plenty of winter on hand for Saturday's annual Vernon Hills Park District's Winter Fest.

Cold-weather lovers gathered at Century Park North near the sled hill at the free family event to enjoy sled dog and ice sculpting demonstrations, skating and sledding.

Campfires and concessions in the pavilion kept everyone warm during the annual event.
