Student artists can apply for St. Charles Arts Council's ArtsFest

The fourth annual ArtsFest/St. Charles student artist event will run March 4-6. It will encompass venues throughout St. Charles that will feature the visual and performing art of student artists, kindergarten through college. Students are invited to participate. Performing artists will receive a stipend for their performance and visual artists' work will be available for sale.

ArtsFest features a student showcase at the Baker Community Center at 1 p.m. Sunday, March 6. If you are interested in performing in that showcase, submit audio and/or video files of your performance (vocal or instrumental music, dance, etc.) electronically to ArtistLiaison@StCharlesArtsCouncil.org. Be sure that you supply the artist liaison with your name, address, phone number and school attended. Students may attend any school, including out-of-state schools.

Visual artists and film artists will show their work in a student-only neXt gallery, the St. Charles Arts Council's pop-up art gallery program. Student artists, kindergarten through college, may submit their work for jurying electronically to ArtistLiaison@StCharlesArtsCouncil.org. There is no form to fill out. Simply reply to this email an image of each piece of work submitted and the title of the piece. All submitted work must include the artist's name, physical address, phone number and school attended. Students may attend any school, including out of state schools.

All submissions, performing or visual artists, are due to the arts council by Sunday, Feb. 14.

All electronic submissions will be reviewed and contact artists with further information by Friday, Feb. 19.
