Durbin, Foster should visit PADS

I think it would be great for Representative Foster and Senator Durbin to visit PADS so they could tell the homeless that the government figure for unemployment is just five percent and that the economy is on an upward swing.

I know the men and women who walk the streets daily with all their belongings on their backs would be glad to hear the good news. Of course, the millions who have been out of work for years are not part of the unemployment figure but it certainly makes the politicians happy to cite the five percent.

After Senator Durbin leaves the PADS locale he can go to the College of Dupage and tell the students how his program to reduce the percentage on students loans is working. I am sure I am not the only person who heard him say, “I will fight to reduce the percentage on the student loans.”

Of course, that was during his campaign for re-election. Was it just rhetoric or is he having a problem finding his spinach?
