Daily Herald Guide to the Suburbs offers advice, help, planning

A year ago, we celebrated New Year's Day with an extensive guide to living, working and playing in the suburbs.

We had a great time assembling our best advice, and it received such a positive response that we decided to make it an annual event.

So today, we're happy to present a second installment — Your Guide to the Suburbs, 2016 Edition.

We're presenting our best advice on making the most out of living in the suburbs.

In putting this package together, we've relied on the expertise of a staff with hundreds of years covering and living in the suburbs.

Still, there probably are other topics or perhaps something we missed.

Last year, I ended the letter introducing our first guide by saying, “Who knows? Maybe we'll try to make this a New Year's tradition.”

We're in the second year of the guide. Consider the tradition started.
