Credit due Naperville postal workers

There are some very nice experiences at the United States Postal Service in Naperville. The Automated Postal Center machines expedite mailing packages, especially flat rate boxes and other priority packaging.

Postal employees are courteous, cheerful and eager to help. The lines move quickly, perhaps in part, because there is a separate special Charlie Brown walk-up window just for stamps and mail pick up.

It's a happy place. As I left the other day I heard a boy say to his mom, "That man was sure nice to us."

The landscaping boasts diverse native Illinois plants that send down deep roots attracting butterflies and feeding the birds. Watch for spring flowers. Plus, the repaired asphalt removed serious potholes at the Ogden Avenue facility.

My hat's off to the men and women of the Naperville post offices. Technology helps, but people really make the difference. Thank you.
