Former Hawks take it to team in as Dallas crushes Hawks 4-0
DALLAS - Patrick Sharp's shot from the right circle soared over the goalie's right shoulder, banking in off the crossbar and in just 11 seconds into the third period. Sharp pumped his fist in celebration, and skated into the arms of Johnny Oduya to celebrate.
It's something the Blackhawks have seen time and time again over the years. Only Sharp was wearing green. And it was Corey Crawford whom he beat.
And just to rub it in, it was old pal Antti Niemi pitching a 20-save shutout in the Stars' 4-0 victory over the Hawks on Tuesday night, sending the Hawks into their four-day Christmas break on a sour note.
Sharp had a goal and an assist for the first-place Stars, who are now 10 points clear of the third-place Hawks, with a game in hand.
