Bears sign D'Anthony Smith from practice squad

LAKE FOREST, Ill. (AP) - The Chicago Bears have signed defensive tackle D'Anthony Smith from the practice squad to the active roster.

The 6-foot-2, 300-pound Smith has appeared in 10 games over two seasons with Jacksonville (2012) and Seattle (2013). He was drafted in the third round by Jacksonville in 2010.

The Bears also waived running back Antone Smith on Tuesday.

Chicago (5-9) visits Tampa Bay on Sunday.
