WAYS offers teen group

Teenage years are a stressful time in a young person's life. Wayne/Winfield Area Youth/Family Services offers a teen group that provides teenagers with a safe place to discuss issues they may be dealing with at this stage in their lives.

Topics include alcohol and drugs, self-injury and peer pressure, bullying and anxiety. Teens will be able to discuss these issues and how to deal with them.

Open to ages 13 to 18, the group will be facilitated by Matthew Klestinski, clinical intern. The teens will meet from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays at the WAYS office, 27W031 North Ave., West Chicago.

For information or to arrange a consultation, call WAYS at (630) 231-7166. A $15 preconsultation with parents is required for a pre-class assessment and goal setting. The class fee is $15 per session.

WAYS provides individual, family and group therapy in English and Spanish, anger management, parenting classes, senior services, summer day camp and tutoring.
