Presto! Holiday Concert is Saturday at the Prairie Center

The Schaumburg Youth Symphony Orchestra and Schaumburg Youth Choir will present the Presto! Holiday Concert in two performances on Saturday, Dec. 19.

The holiday show will combine the music of the season with short vignettes and narration between numbers. Performances will be at 3:30 and 7:30 p.m. and will feature the orchestra, under the direction of Joseph Malmquist, and the choir, under the direction of Michael VanCamp.

The program includes music of Tchaikovsky, Rimsky-Korsakov, Mozart and Wagner, along with a host of popular carols.

Tickets are $25 ($15 for students and seniors) and can be ordered online at www.prairiecenter.org, or at (847) 895-3600. The Prairie Center is at 201 Schaumburg Court, Schaumburg.
