Kinfork restaurant opening in Woodfield Dec. 14

Kinfork restaurant, one of the few independently owned and operated concepts at Woodfield Mall, is scheduled to open its doors Monday, Dec. 14.

Kinfork is intended to bring a Chicago-style dining experience to the suburbs, with a menu created by Executive Chef Phil Manolis that includes a variety of wood-fired and house-smoked selections shaped by locally sourced ingredients and Midwestern flavors.

The restaurant is partnering with Feed My Starving Children, a nonprofit organization providing pre-packed meals for the malnourished in nearly 70 countries. For every kid's meal sold for children 12 and under, Kinfork will donate a meal to a child in need.
