Enough with the Springfield stalemate
An open letter to Gov.Rauner and to all members of the Illinois General Assembly: I, and I think many other Illinoisans, feel that the situation in Springfield has gone beyond reason.
Our state has become a laughingstock. You were all elected by the people to govern, not to paralyze our government with an ideological stalemate.
Republican or Democrat, you are not doing your jobs. The situation is not getting better while you play political chicken.
Stop with the posturing and find a solution to the serious problems our state is facing. It doesn't have to be perfect solution, but it does have to make sense and it will probably require all of you to get off your high horses and compromise.
