Holiday concert in Schaumburg Dec. 19

The Schaumburg Youth Symphony Orchestra and Schaumburg Youth Choir will present the Presto! Holiday Concert on Saturday, Dec. 19, at the Prairie Center for the Arts, 201 Schaumburg Court in Schaumburg.

This holiday show will combine the music of the season with short vignettes and narration between numbers. The program includes the music of Tchaikovsky, Rimsky-Korsakov, Mozart, Wagner and a host of popular carols.

Performances will be held at 3:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., and will feature the award-winning orchestra under the direction of Joseph Malmquist and the choir under the direction of Michael VanCamp.
