St. Emily School Christens the Mount Prospect McDonald's

On Tuesday, Dec. 2, St. Emily School held a successful McTeacher's Night at the new McDonald's in Mount Prospect, on Rand Road, that just opened its doors on Dec. 1, at 4 p.m. The restaurant was full of families supporting the school as well as waiting to see their teachers and Tommy Hawk from the Chicago Blackhawks.

Teachers overtook the restaurant serving up delicious meals to students and families to raise money for St. Emily School. The McTeacher jobs included working the drive-thru, greeting guests, cleaning the lobby, working the front counter, serving drinks, clearing tables, selling pies, serving ice cream, and even dressing up in a pie costume. Teachers rang the school bell and sang for tips. McTeachers working included McPrincipal Hemmelman, McTeachers Theodore, Letica, Willing, Ewig, Malewig, Mullins, Brunelli, Folino, Buechele, Eiffes, Hart, Stephens, Marquardt, Slivka, Marquardt, Sanford, Brogmus, Gatta, Kinasz, Bergstrom and Brubaker. The event also welcomed parent helpers Bishop, Wilson, Bruno and Geiger.

St. Emily McTeachers had it all covered, and the families enjoyed a pleasant evening. The school plans to use the money raised to go into the fund to support technology at the school. Lots of students, teachers, families and friends came out in their support. The school mascot, Bobo was also present. All the kids came to see their teachers work at the new Mount Prospect McDonald's. McTeachers Malewig, Buechele and Brogmus shared the pie costume duties, while giving a "high Four" to students and parents. A special appearance by Tommy Hawk made this a memorable evening. Special thank-you goes to McTeacher Bonnie Eiffes, who organized the entire event.
