Reed-Turner Nature welcomes Santa Dec. 13

Once again, Santa has agreed to squeeze in a visit at the Reed-Turner Nature Center, 3849 Old McHenry Road, in Long Grove, during his busy December.

He will stop by from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 13. Everyone is welcome to visit with Santa. He encourages families to bring three things:

• Your Christmas wish list (usually this is something that younger visitors bring, but Santa has seen grandma and grandpa sneak in with their own lists).

• An unwrapped toy to help needy children have a happy Christmas morning.

• A camera to capture the moments with Santa and your family.

The afternoon includes a crafts corner with holiday-themed projects for the younger set, along with snacks.

There is no charge for the event, courtesy of the Long Grove Park District. For information, visit lgparks.org or call at (847) 438-4743.
