Thanksgiving fatigue not an excuse on Black Friday

Debbie Stigler of McHenry said she arrived at Gurnee Mills at 7 a.m. Friday - one hour after the mall doors opened - to grab deals on a dehydrator and clothes at Bass Pro Shop.

"I'm tired," Stigler said. "I cooked all day yesterday, went to sleep, then woke up and came here."

The trip was worth it, she said, because of the great deals she received on many items family members requested at Christmas.

"The Disney store had phenomenal deals today," she said as she showed off a Darth Vader helmet. "It's Star Wars everywhere right now."
