Jaguars running back Yeldon active, starting against Titans

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) - Jacksonville Jaguars running back T.J. Yeldon is active and starting against the Tennessee Titans.

Yeldon missed the short week of practice with a foot injury and was in a walking boot Monday. But the rookie was given clearance to play after testing his foot on the field a few hours before kickoff Thursday.

Titans running back Bishop Sankey was a healthy scratch. Rookie David Cobb was active over him. Receiver Kendall Wright, cornerback Blidi Wreh-Wilson, guard Quinton Spain, receiver Andrew Turzilli, defensive lineman Mike Martin and nose tackle Al Woods also were inactive for the Titans.

Jaguars receivers Rashad Greene (thumb) and Bryan Walters (concussion) were active. Greene, activated from short-term injured reserve Wednesday, is expected to serve as the punt returner.

Running back Joe Banyard, running back Bernard Pierce, cornerback Nick Marshall, offensive lineman Luke Bowanko, tight end Nic Jacobs, defensive tackle Michael Bennett and defensive end Chris Smith were inactive.
