Join 21st annual Elburn Christmas Stroll Nov. 28
On Saturday, Nov. 28, from 4 to 8 p.m., downtown Elburn will feel like Christmas with Santa, hot chocolate, s'mores, and a spectacular holiday light show during the 21st annual Elburn Christmas Stroll!
Elburn's Town and Country Library will host Santa, live holiday music, and a light display designed by the award-winning designer of the Larsen Light Show, Brian Larsen. The light show will feature a 12 foot mega tree, 10 mini trees, a talking Santa, and an FM transmitter which will play Christmas music that synchronizes with the lights. To honor the Stroll's new mascot, a 7-foot inflatable penguin has been added to the light show this year!
Strollers can enjoy free samples from local merchants at the downtown open house. The stroll also will feature a hayride, a live nativity, and a raffle to raise money for the Elburn Chamber of Commerce's annual Kaneland Scholarship.
Raffle prizes include a helicopter tour of Chicago, smart TV, Bose Wi-Fi sound system, BMX bicycle, a Fitbit, $200 gift certificate for the Turf Room, one-night stay at the Herrington, one appetizer and two drinks every month for a year at Eddie Gaedel Pub and Grill, four tickets to "A Christmas Carol," and many more!
Raffle tickets are available at the Elburn Chamber of Commerce office, Railside Citrus Insurance agency, and also can be purchased at the Christmas Stroll. Tickets are $5 each or five tickets for $20, and all proceeds go to the Kaneland Scholarship. Winners will be announced at Schmidt's Towne Tap at 8:30 p.m., and will be listed on the Christmas Stroll Facebook page. Winners need not be present.
