Prairie Center Arts Foundation Launches Giving Tuesday Campaign
Celebrate generosity! Help the Prairie Center Arts Foundation (PCAF) enrich lives on "Giving Tuesday," December 1, 2015.
Giving Tuesday reminds us that the spirit of the holiday season is about giving. You've heard of Black Friday and Cyber Monday - Giving Tuesday is a chance to donate to an organization that enhances your quality of life while encouraging others to donate with you. That is why on December 1 - Giving Tuesday - the public is asked to consider making a donation to the Prairie Center Arts Foundation.
The Prairie Center Arts Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to the growth and excellence of cultural arts in the community. To fulfill its mission of cultural enrichment, the PCAF funds programs such as the Season of Entertainment at the Schaumburg Prairie Center for the Arts, Prairie Center Youth Programs (including Schaumburg Youth Orchestra, Schaumburg Choir and Schaumburg Dance Ensemble and more), and Theatre Buddies & Arts Partners, outreach programs that provide access to the performing arts to at-risk and under-served populations.
"Last year, individual donors lead the charge in supporting the arts. This year, we want to challenge businesses to offer a match for any individual donation. We are setting our one-day fundraising goal at $5,000," said Theresa Olvera, Executive Director of the PCAF. "We also ask our supporters to maximize their gifts by checking with their employers about donation matching programs."
The foundation also asks patrons to consider the Prairie Center Arts Foundation when making Planned Giving arrangements.
The arts enhance our quality of life in many ways because of their ability to entertain, educate, strengthen the community and inspire. The Foundation is able to support these efforts, in part, through individual donations from the public and corporations. Donations to the Prairie Center Arts Foundation may be made via the website www.pcafoundation.org, by calling (847) 923-3608.
